The Place
Our inspiring and original digital photography courses take place in our studio and on location on the tranquil and picturesque island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. Some of our workshops also take place on the other idyllic nearby islands, including Sark and Herm depending on weather conditions and time of year.
A British sovereign community on the doorstep of France, Guernsey has a unique French/British atmosphere and appeal. With some of Britain’s most spectacular coastal scenery and a slightly warmer climate – Guernsey is an ideal destination for our digital photography courses and training.
Travel Options
Although most of our courses run for three days during the week, many people use the opportunity of travel to Guernsey and add a weekend on to their course to enjoy the islands sights and VAT FREE shopping. With many award winning restaurants and visitor attractions there is plenty to see and do in the islands for friends and partners. Whilst some people may travel alone, others may wish to bring their partners who will find plenty to do during their stay.
Travel and Accommodation
All our guests stay in 3 star Hotels in the Heart of St Peter Port (the main town). One of our favourites has a superb restaurant, pub, swimming pool and health suite.
As part of your course we are happy to arrange your return travel and accommodation from Gatwick to Guernsey. However if you wished to arrange your own travel for a longer stay our helpful administration staff will do their best to advise you on your best options.
There are also fast ferries running from Weymouth, Poole and Portsmouth as well as other flights from airports including Exeter, Bristol, Cardiff, Bournemouth, Stansted, Manchester and the Isle of Man. For the latest flight connection information visit the Airport link below.
For those arriving as part of our arranged group courses we will collect and return you to the Airport.
Personal Requirements
To travel to Guernsey from the UK you will need photographic identification.
Currency
Guernsey uses UK Pounds Sterling and Guernsey Pounds Sterling. There is no VAT in the islands.
Health
For our Landscape courses we would expect you to be relatively fit and able bodied as some of our coastal location require a reasonable walk up and down cliff paths and steps.
Although very unlikely that you would suffer ill health during your stay it will give you peace of mind to know that Guernsey has a superb modern hospital, doctors and pharmacies.
